I don't want to name this "Wonder and Want"

I look at your wonder...
I look at you
I can take one instance
like a snap shot
of the way you glance
or turn your head
and create a whole
sculpture
of desire and fascination

Chisel

Scraping dried cracking layers
Off the cold flat present
Exposing the rough grains and flaws
Saving each chipped off memory
Savoring each fading stroke
Searching for the real underneath
Revealing the once known worth
Eroding the constant haunting
Of being in the end disposable

Shapes

Barely perched
On the edge of function
Breaths ragged
Hitching
Words spread
Like spilled red wine
On the soft
Empty page
Fascinating
Messy
Shapes

Taken

I don’t want you
Today or tomorrow
Or ever or forever
I want you now
In the shadows
And secret dark places
In the aching and hidden
Corners and hollows
I want you now
Trembling and taken
Submersed in this insistent
Irresistible longing
I want you now
In the shadows

Exploring

It was lush and daring
During those days
Like the far off smell
Of burning wood
Or the feel of wind
Whipping at our
Hair and clothes

"You know me so well"

Its because I listen
Not just to your words
But your voice
The tones and breaths
The rustle of your clothes
And rhythm of your step
Not just to the sounds
But the hush and pauses
The way your body
Moves and responds
The things you eat
The way you watch
The things that fascinate you
Its because I listen

No Longer

Ancient fading ticking
Forgotten trains on ruined tracks
Ghosts of my once wandering

Sleek clocks and pocket watches
Marking the constant slip away
Clouds so ominous in the distance

Fierce this howling wind tearing
Collected indulgent reflections
Swept into the hidden darkness
